Other activities organized by the committee have included coordinating Kol Shalom members to participating in the city’s Pride Parade, along with other congregations and joining health-walks in the SW Health Center’s neighborhood, with their patients.  Speakers have been provided for our Shabbats and Sunday Forums to address pressing social justice issues.  A 2015 Sunday Forum was dedicated to the social activism and the music of Pete Seeger:  A yahrzeit  for the non-Jewish mensch.

Other forum programs have brought J- Street speakers  and others on current Israeli/Palestinian issues, from People Without Borders,  and the young developers of a program that started as a Soccer Academy for youth in Darfur.   Kol Shalom's annual Social Justice Shabbat, inspired by Rabbis for Human Rights, involves presentations by our committee as well.

The SAC has also brought Kol Shalom into alliance with Oregonians with Alternatives
to the Death Penalty (OADP), which is active during appropriate legislative sessions.
