Kol Shalom Portland Oregon - Community for Humanistic Judaism

Mishpocha

Mishpocha isn't an activity or a program. Mishpoche means "family" in Yiddish. When a member needs help because of illness, a death, or even a happy occasion such as a wedding or a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, a volunteer offers support.

Whether it's sending a card, giving a ride, making a meal, or even keeping someone company, we are attentive to those of our members in need.

Our Mishpocha coordinator relies on members to let her know when we might be of help.
