Today, Chai Day falls within the holiday of Sukkot, the Festival of Booths. (Sukkot began this past Sunday evening and will end this coming Sunday -- reminder: Sunday Forum at 11.) One Sukkot custom is to sleep outside in the sukkah. It's important that the sukkah be partially open to the sky. With the theme of sleeping outside, do you have any special memories to share with us? And taking this theme in another direction, are you familiar with the term "sleeping rough"? With Sukkot upon us and with our upcoming Sunday Forum on housing, these are issues to think about. Let's stay connected to each other by sharing our thoughts today, Sukkot-Chai Day, or during the week. Hoping to hear from you on the chat list.
Happy Chai Day! We hope to see you all on Sunday for our Forum.
